looks a bit overexposed

Nice heron shot. It might be nice to have all of the reflection, or maybe crop a little more off at the bottom, if you weren't able to get the whole reflected bird. The balance seems a little off to me with this composition. I love the colors, the blue water is nice.

This photo is great - until I reach the bottom and part of the reflection is cut off. I feel almost cheated, like I'm left wanting more. Great capture otherwise...

Fun to get this close, and there's an achievemtn in that alone. To be a really impact-ful shot i would want it to show more character in the bird, or something more unusual: this is not an unusual pose for a heron, at all, and the light and the situation are not particularly special. Nice work though, all the same.

Returning for comment
I'd just like to be able to see the rest of the reflection. Lovely shot otherwise.

Since you used so much of the reflection, you should have included the entire bird. Focus is bang on...nicely captured. Well done. Good Luck.

Lovely sharp focus, and great colours and contrast. Could IMO have been improved by having the whole of the reflection in the frame though.

Nice focus on the bird. Including the entire reflection would have made this a stronger image, imo.

Very nice wildlife photo. I will guess that (a) you get comments about the crop not including the bird's head, and (b) it isn't available on the original. If true, I think you might have done better to crop just below the vegetation instead of incuding all BUT the head. Just my thoughts, still love the picture. ...8...

Very nice, but I do wish you had gotten the full reflection of the bird in the frame.

Nice focuse here. I don't suppose you got a wider angle of this one - that reflection is so crisp its a shame you can't see the full mirror image of the bird. It might have been too symmetrical that way, but I get the feeling it would have worked really well. 6.
