ok, this is a very difficult challenge to vote, both in its size, and because it is a 'best of' for a whole year.

i really, really don't mean to be harsh, but please consider this. this is a challenge site, where the purpose of the challenges are to win votes, and that is done by submitting images that will favorably engage the viewer/voters. (granted, sometimes people try to go in the other direction, but that is usually by choice.) when i look at this image, i can see that you have decent equipment and that you a somewhat proficient at post-processing. what i can't understand is why you would pick this image, out of all the images you took last year, to represent your best. i just don't get it. i can understand the sentiment of the title, but all the same, i have a hard time believing that there is not another image in your portfolio that would have scored better than this.

i truly hope you realize i am not saying this to be mean or to try to hurt your feelings. dpc is a great site, and it has made a monumental impact on my photography. but, i have learned the hard way that there is a huge difference between getting good feedback on an individual portfolio image, and entering a vote-getting image. it took me a long time to be able to separate myself from my entries, and to accept a challenge for what it is.

i have no doubt that you have what it takes to be competitve, and i wish you the best for this and the challenges yet to come!

hehe - did you set this up or just catch it. Think the selective desat works with the sign here - not so sure about that patchy green/grey grass. Also like the title.

Overall a technically sound photograph that could be used for an advertisment. I like your choice of saturation adjustment.

This is not a lot in the photo that I find interesting. The trash in the lower left corner is a bit distracting.

Interesting but not "wow" for me.

Composition on this is awesome. Colour on left balanced by the car on the right...
very very cool.

Different, looks like an advert for a car.
