Ok. This is my first entry in a while.
Softbox on an AB 400 Strobe was mainlight.
Backlight on the Chalkboard was an AB 400 strobe with a 20 degree honeycomb mounted in the reflector. Since this only took 10 minutes to shoot, I can say that I am really starting to get handle on my lighting. I know I could have a peice of Chalk in his hand, but that would have meant leaving Lucas on the Box alone so I could grab the Chalk. That was not an option.

I could have made this shot better, with a little more time, my partner was not as willing.

As far as editing, I try not to do much. Just correct WB in PSP 8 add a little color, then run it through Neatimage 2.2

Enjoy and be gentle.

I like this photo a lot, a very nice photo to be added to the family album, but those gastly jagged edges :(. I just think that after the noise removal was applied it was then a bit oversharpened, and then another round of noise removal was done?

Looks like a poor version of a movie publicity shot. No - not so poor, maybe: there's good stuff here, in terms of light, focus etc., but in the sense that it seems so contrived is what I mean. It's nicely done, especially the believeability of the formula on the board, but photographically ... whilst technically proficient, the subject matter does little for me.

I like this. It is simple and the lighting just sets the right mood.

I'm sure he/she is your little Einstein, but the face says "I don't have a clue why daddy put me here"! Composition is nice, but the blackboard looks a bit like it is floating, maybe the baby's hand in front of it (a little higher than it is now) could have made this pic even better

Did you know that Einstein could neither read nor write until he was in the fourth grade? Good shot nonetheless. 7.

good concept, but im not sure whether that blend of brown/black from the kids head to the board is supposed to represent his imagination of the board or just something you missed while post-processing
