 | Nature can paint, not only in stark realism, but with pure impressionism. Enjoy this example. On my east kitchen window this painting appeared before winter began, in mid November. Whatever it appears to you, ocean waves, sea ferns, land ferns, whatever, the mood is impressionism. Stepping back to earth, this is nature’s arrangement of frost crystals on a window. The form and shape is new each day. The rich blues come from early morning blue sky. Ember hues dance from the rising sun directly behind this window, irradiating frost in fire colors. Soon after, when the sun rises in strength, the frost melts and the window awaits new magic in nature painting. Check out the full frost series! |
