 These Glasswing Butterflies never sit still for long. I used my Sigma 50mm Macro to get as close as I could, but depth of field was always going to be short this close up, no matter the f stop I could use. Shot in natural light with some fill in flash from the D70's built in flash unit. Shot at 1/60, with the apeture at f/9

I love the light reflections on its winga, and the hint of blue from its eyes.

I used Photoshop (autolevels & crop & resize)
but the image is basically as it was shot.

My first thought was that it doesn't really relate to the title, but I guess you're referring to the delicacy of the wings - it's a stretch, but I'll go with it : ) Techically, it seems a little out of focus. Great colors, though!

Leaf appears to have stolen focus. Composition would look a little better if butterfly were positioned more to the left of the frame instead of centered.
