I honestly expected this to do better. I mean, seven 1's, nine 2's and twenty three 3's?!

I really appreciate the comments though, so thank you all :)

Ooooooookkkkkkk. I will never get DPC voters. I was one of the 6 who gave your shot a 10. Have people never seen an aerial view of a hurricane? I thought this was great and as usual am disappointed how low photos I like tend to score.

This is a wonderful image and even better creativity. My only critique would be to shoot at f22 (or as high as you can go) as something like this I feel needs pinpoint sharpness on all of the links.

I hope this wins - should do.

I am sure many will say it's nothing to do with storms technically, but, well, boo hoo to them! You have my only 10

Returning for comments:
A very good analogy presenting the vortex or eye.

I hope this does well. You deserve it for the play on words and nailing the theme! I just wonder how many will grasp the signifigance of the chain link and your titile. Slightly out of focus. BOL 6

Very clever. This was a difficult challenge to nail and I think you have done a great job. I hope this does well.

I get great a sense of a swirling cyclone, the contrast between the chain and oxydation make this shot!

do not see how it fits the title

At first I was so-so about this picture, but it grew on me. I started it at a 6 but kept bumping it up until 8. A neat idea.

Neat shot! Apt title: it does look like the top-down view of a hurricane.

Good idea. The chains pull me into the centre, especially when I look at it from a distance. Nice work.

Is the tornado appearance luck? ; )

Wow... What a great visual for this movie title. Very unique idea. I really like the treatment and textures of the chain.
