What an image!! Certainly one to proud of, and I'd have this hanging on my walls if it were mine! I like the nice, tight close-up a lot, It gives a lot of power to the shot. In a challenge with a lot to like, this is a stand-out.

It would be interesting to play with this picture a bit by trying a tighter crop to get closer to the lions face.

Nice capture. The only thing that I would like to add is that you can improve upon this by sharpening a little... sharpen the original file ( before resizing) using USM 50,30,0
