I've wanted to try painting with light for a while, and since my boyfriend keeps telling me I need to eat more fruit this seemed appropriate.
Set up the fruit in a glass bowl in a darkened room, lighted with a covered mini maglite waving around the bowl. Some adjustment of levels, cloned out some spots.

I thought I had my monitor properly calibrated, but looking at it at work I was horrified how dark it was. I'll definitely have to get a better monitor at home (and calibrate it, too :-)). Thanks for all the comments.
If the light would have effected the other fruit as much as the orange this could have been very nice. The image does not look very inviting to eat fruit and leaves a negativity towards your resolution I find
the color of the fruit is great, very rich and warm. Not to sure about the composition though and I certainly don't like the irregular reflections, I find them very distracting.
Even though the fruit is in color, my eyes are drawn to the white areas of the photo. Would've been nice to see the fruit better lit. It would hold my attention better.
