 From Duncan-Miller.org:

The Three Face pattern, introduced in 1878 by George Duncan & Sons, is one of the most iconic designs in American glassmaking history.

The Inspiration Behind the Three Faces
The Three Face design owes its charm to the vision of John Ernest Miller, a mold maker at George Duncan & Sons. The woman whose likeness is immortalized in the glass is believed to be Elizabeth Blair Miller, John Miller’s wife. While Elizabeth led an ordinary life as a wife and mother, her profile became a symbol of grace and artistry, etched into glassware that would be treasured for generations.

What makes her story so captivating is the idea that an ordinary woman—one whose life might otherwise have been lost to history—achieved a form of immortality through art. Her serene expression and timeless beauty have captivated collectors and enthusiasts for over a century, transforming her into a figure of quiet yet enduring fame.

I was trying rim lighting to cut down the reflections on the bowl. It was an interesting experiment. Luckily the stem was frosted, so it did pick up the light. Otherwise, I'm not sure how I would have done it.

These belonged to my mom. She collected antiques and really like these. One is a champagne, the other is a spoon holder.
