We were traveling back from a short vacation in Vermont and passed through Saugerties, a town in upstate NY. Lining the sidewalks were statues of dogs composed by artists.
"Each year since 2009, the Saugerties Chamber of Commerce has organized a summer long street exhibition that draws thousands of visitors and shoppers to the village to admire fanciful works by local artists – all variations on a common template. The last several years have featured butterflies, owls, horses and hippie vans; this year the theme is Barkin’ around Saugerties."
Of course I had to park the car and walk around taking pictures! The dog in the car was on a pedestal and platform on the sidewalk. I took the picture at an angle which when I cloned out the platform it looks like the dog and car are on the street!
