I almost ran over this little bird with my ATV! Was getting ready to park and noticed it's movement just in time. Got off the ATV, grabbed my phone, and crawled around to the front to try and get a photo. It hopped off to the left, so I went back around the other side, did a slow crawl in the grass to get closer and waited. The bird seemed to settle down a little and I was able to get a handle of photos before I slowly backed away. Eventually it started preening its feathers and then hopped off a little way and seemed to be looking for something to eat. So cute. I hope it survives ok. Haven't seen it since in that area.

You have that calm vibe that they're not scared of you <3 They aren't afraid.. I love the contrast.. the busy bokeh and the calmness of the main subject.. Congratulations on the Top 5 and FP finish, glad2badad 🥳
Chirpy missed mom and dad, especially the fat grubs they stuck in his mouth. He could never find them. In the distance, he saw a tall towering figure. Does he have grubs? He flew over to investigate, landing on his shoulder, but he didn't move, even when Chirpy pecked at his straw hat.
"Listen, even though you don't have any grubs, you want to be buddies?"
The figure didn't say anything, but to be fair, Chirpy was hard to understand. He liked perching up here. He could see the crows sooner, and they weren't bothering him anyway, for some reason. Scared, I guess.
Mazy stared at the smudge she left on the glass, shaking off the brain fog from smacking into what turned out to be a giant picture window on the side of wall. "Who the hell put that there?!" she asked herself. Once she regained her composure, she set off to return home to her mother, hoping to avoid further traumatic brain injuries. 🤪
