Thanks to massive deregulation, this all-American family can now make ends meet by having little Amelia go straight from grade school to her office job where she makes calls for a collection agency.
Mama got a new purse today and she gave me her old one. I was so excited when papa said he would take me to the mall. He held my hand as we walked through the parking lot and I proudly displayed my beautiful handbag to onlookers and passersby, a dark thought occurred to me: I bet mama took all the cash out before she gave it to me! 😫
