 Noctilucent clouds are among the rarest cloud types on Earth, forming only in extreme atmospheric conditions at very high altitudes.

They form in the mesosphere, roughly 50 miles above Earth, making them the highest clouds in our atmosphere.

Shot over town of Ísafjordur in Iceland.

Worked on in Lightroom and Nik to bring the details of those clouds...
