 For this mall, you need a 4x4 and some hiking boots to enter. Situated in Landmannalaugar, Iceland. Remote wilderness only accessible by bigger cars for river crossings, far from civilization. You'll be able to buy canned food, coal and wool mittens. This is where you'll meet Nicelanders.

I love this image because of what it does to me at a base level. The moment I laid eyes on it, I was hooked and wanted to know everything. Where on earth is this? What is actually going on here? Wait, let me look closer... oh, the buses are the market. A mobile mountain mall built out of vintage buses in the middle of nowhere? Brilliant. How did this glorious thing even come to be? It is a deeply thought-inspiring image, and honestly, that curiosity-factor trumps everything else for me.
