I matched the color grading to a LR sepia preset, but apparently “sepia-ish” was not sepia enough... I even made poor Owen wear a flat cap!

Nice portrait but it doesn't look Sepia to me. My guess is it is sepia with a filter over it. I will give you the benefit of the doubt.
