This composition definitely works for me, along with the cheeky-sophisticated color grading and understated stock storytelling. I like it a lot--and I appreciate the bold interpretive spin on this challenge theme.
I do find that the highlights in the lower half of the frame get a bit out of hand--a little "pearly neon" in the ripples in a way that competes for attention with your subject. If you have in mind to use this outside of here, I might suggest trying to tame and/or soften that a bit. |
