 For Beata. I sent this to her as a joke one weekend when I was trying to take a quick snapshot of my parents' cat sitting on the piano at their house. The cat jumped down just as my phone began its exposure, creating this feline streak. For me, it was a throwaway instantly, but on a whim I decided to process it as if it were a noir composition--to garish results.

I thought it would make Beata chuckle, but instead she said--quite earnestly--that it was something she wanted to hang on her wall. So it only seems fitting to share it here now.

A special memory and thanks for sharing. I like the picture too, very much. I think it's funny that camera phones don't usually know what to do with motion blur. Maybe I need to switch to android:)
