I didn't arrange these objects. This is viewed afterhours on a cloudy afternoon through the window of an antique store. But the story opportunity was so suggestive.

I may have gone a step too far with the processing, but the pure monochrome was just a bit too "clinical" feeling for the story I was envisioning. I wanted this to lean into the nostalgia of the handwritten word and days of epistolary past. Hoping some will connect with that...

Not sure why, but this is take 3 to write my comment - everything always freezes when I get here :-) - maybe its a "sign".
This is such a fabulous story. Really makes you wonder about the writer, the intended recipient, why it wasn't sent, etc. So well thought out and beautifully captured

Evocative, and interesting objects. But unless this was an exhibit, I think they could have had a more interesting arrangement, less cluttered. Or maybe shot from slightly more to the right, and more towards the papers. Just my thoughts.
