Thanks Geewhy. I thought it would do better also. It was interesting that it it received so many comments for the high end of the mid-packers. It was one of those photos which I liked, but had second thoughts about submitting it because my taste isn't always mainstream. Thanks again. |

| Very nice macro with good colors, composition, and shallow DOF. I particularly like the clearly defined snow here. Bumping up. |

| Wow, this is a great shot IMO. I love the dof you've got. Your choice of perspective makes for a very strong composition. It makes for very nice leading lines, the eye follows gently along, taking in the whole photo slowly and gracefully. Your title is perfect, simple yet telling the story or point of the photo along with the snow/ice present. Good, subtle shadows add to the mood. Very nice job, one of my favorites of the field. |

I like the lighting,shallow DOF and composition used for this image.
The light dusting of snow adds to it`s impact also.
Nice work...hope it does well. |

| extraordinary positive/negative dialogue; first the BG is UP, then the BG is DOWN, it cycles visually. I wish there were better separation between the teeth and the drak BG stripe. A real sleeper of an image. |
