This is my first photographic entry ever. It's taken with a new Christmas camera, which I hope to use often and well (once I learn from all of you).
The scale is from Denmark and the bird is an ornament. The egg is from an actual chicken.

Very nice feeling. Emits old. Shadows at right get perhaps a bit too green, but otherwise the color balance is marvellous. On all scales, this is image is not completely balanced, as the egg adds weights more to the right. Positioning this scale a bit to left from center doesn't relieve the balance enough, but is clearly a try into that direction. I'd like to have the bird and the metal plate beneath her sharper.
Composition: 4, Cropped too close, distracting background.
Technical: 3, Out of focus, and it looks underexposed.
Appeal: 3, I think your idea is good but needs work to make it more interesting.
