I like the bright yellow against the drab background.

Greetings from the Critique Club
What a lovely old house! Congratulations on seeing the potential of this old house and on seeing the other side of despair Hope!
Composition:Generally good but the house is tilted a little so it looks like it is tipping over.
Focus: A little soft, but not sobad that it spoils the image. It looks like you were shooting in very poor light.
To me the bright splash of the yellow daffodils is the Hope in your title.
Keep shooting You have a good eye and creative imagination The technicallities will come with practice.

this is a wonderful idea. I think I'd like to see the house straightened up within the frame though. it's leaning a bit to the left. looks like this was taken in poor lighting with flash. was this done on purpose, or just ran out of time. I wonder how this would have done in full light? focus seems ok. otherwise a nice shot. I really like the idea behind it. pretty flowers, old run down house. nice find. good luck in the challenge.

I like the concept of your photo. The contrast in color is nice.

a little blurry.

A little clearer and this would've done better. Also looks like its tilted quite a bit to the left. Good idea though

Why put a bright flower in a despair shot? The eye goes to that. The shot is crooked, poorly composed, and not exposed well. You might have concentrated on the run-down buikding and left the flowers out. This would have allowed you to focus the building and expose it properly. Hope I'm not too harsh.

good concept but the horizon is off and the flowers should be in focus instead of the building because they are closer

I really like the lighting that was placed on the flowers. I think that by putting a little more light on the house would help your picture a little.

This is the opposite of despair. You are showing the hope in despair, not the lack of hope.

The unlevelness and the messed up boarder really ruin this photo for me. Also, the daisies just look too blown out. My guess is that it was the flash.

Building going downhill from right side of monitor to the left side. Nice picture

good idea, nice lighting too

Just a slight rotation to the right, and a lower camera angle and this would be a very very strong shot. Good use of fill flash.

I like what you were attempting here, but I think the execution could be better. I'd like to see more of the house, I think. 5
