 This brave hen dove challenges the Jackdaw to regain control of her nest. I used f8 to isolate the background knowing that any action would be in a narrow DOF centred around the middle of the dish, and also because I was having to use very high ISO

Protection. It's the name of the game. I might have cropped from the left to delete some of the foliage and submitted a vertical photo to better emphasize the birds. 7
