Thank you for the explanation
I can understand why something like this is sought after by collectors.

It's the short name for the ex Socialist Republic of Romania: Oficiul Național De Turism Carpați - National Office for Tourism Carpathian.

This is a gift from friend but I do remember having a similar one when I was a small boy. Quite neat.

The ONT Carpați toy bus is a legendary piece of Romanian toy history, manufactured by the Metalogobus Factory in Bucharest between the 1960s and 1980s.
Key Details:
Manufacturer: Metaloglobus Bucharest.
Material: It is a friction-powered tin toy made primarily of metal with plastic or rubber wheels.
Branding: Labeled "ONT Carpați" after the Oficiul Național de Turism (National Tourism Office), which used similar full-sized coaches during the communist era.
Collectibility: These are now considered rare vintage items. Depending on their condition and original packaging, they can be found on collector sites

Like the worn look and the shallow DOF.
Was its route through Romania, the Carpathians?
