Yup, I'm one of those who takes pictures of flowers. I know a lot of people get bored with flower photos, but I love 'em!

This happened to be one of the few times I've had time to set up a shot, I think it turned out pretty well. I grew a bunch of glads spring/summer of 2003 and this was one of the last to bloom. Unfortunately my glads were so popular in my neighborhood that thieves actually traipsed on into my back yard (through the gate, uninvited obviously) and *cut* some of the flowers and took them. I hate New Jersey sometimes. I haven't grown any flowers since.

Looks like the flash washed out some of the detail. Not sure how your camera's flash works, but sometimes I take photos in rapid succession so the flash doesn't have enough time to recover. Then I get different shots with varying degrees of lighting.

Almost went to NJ this week to do a photoshoot at the Lakota Wolf Preserve. I didn't think you guys had enough snow to make it worthwhile though. I think the snow would highlight the fur so much better.
