| They do look friendly. And yes, this tells the story well. That's what photography is all about, for me anyway, documenting memories. Frame this one an keep it. |

| Thank you both. I waited to put this up until my other images from this incredible shoot were finished in voting. We were in Pennsylvania for New Years when I found this unusually friendly herd of deer. Deer is not an unusual enough subject in photography but these deer were. They were licking my hands and camera, this went on for two days. This photographer joined in on the first day January 1st, New Years Day. My images with the photographer are better (IMO) as they really show a story. |

Well put. This is a beautiful image. But now that you call that out, I almost wish that had been a thematic throughline for the whole project--capture something that speaks to the art/craft of photography itself while remaining seasonally appropriate. :-) Would have been MUCH more challenging, though, and I'd infinitely prefer the plethora of entries we're getting. |
