Fantastic image of an adorable young model. Very nicely done, Anita.
I can relate to your feelings about a sole nitpicker failing to see the beauty in an image and doling out a low vote. Some curmudgeon hit me with a 2 on my blue ribbon Martin Parr entry. I just wonder who that could have been. I guess we all need to suck it up. |

Only for me, not for everyone.
In any case as you may remember I was going to finish entering challenges after DPL. I got sucked in again, this exchange reminded me to do it. Have fun!

It would be great if Mita implemented an option for members to block comments from specific people. You would be on top of my list ! :) |

Not from you, they are not friendly constructive criticisms, you like to annoy people.

PS My subscription is about to expire, I think I won't renew.

Barry, your nitpicking is just that, your own subjective opinion, not necessarily shared with anyone else. |
Thats exactly what a comment on a photograph is, an opinion, and last I checked, yes, that would be a personal opinion. Comments are made during the voting period and are generally a first reaction to the photo.
In this case, I believe my original comments are merited. I did notice the blurry movement (increase the shutter speed and/or ISO to eliminate that) and that the composition is tight on the feet (provide more breathing room at time of capture for adjustments). Sure ... it is a pretty photo, but that does not mean it is perfect.

Barry, your nitpicking is just that, your own subjective opinion, not necessarily shared with anyone else. This applies to Anita's image as well as mine. And we both do not want them, OK? We thought that what you picked as faults are just your own way of thinking, your own personal standards.
Out of curiosity, why do you search for perceived faults? |

| Anita, this is a beautiful "fairytale" composition. The little girl is a perfect model. Truly a work of art to be proud of. Congrats! |

Barry, stop nitpicking! I did not even notice what you singled out. Your comments finish annoying rather than be Helpful. Most active DPCers are very experienced photogs and may have a different opinion on what works in an image. Let us see the world the way we want to.
Anita, congrats on the HM, it is a magic capture :) |

Thank you, I titled it Secret Garden at first, but then changed it because I thought it might be a little cliche.
