| Living in a place where lakes never freeze I was quite ignorant of ice mounds. What a cool (or freezing cold) phenomenon. It's almost a scene from faityland. |

A lovely leading line of ice mounds, and light on the branches.
It reminded me of this which I recall being surprised, and delighted, to come across years ago . |

| This definitely has that elevated "waiting room art" feel to it. Very contemplative. Calming to stare and--and rewards the attention one gives it with a rhythmic visual cadence that matches its subject. |
