 We got over 4 inches of rain that day. The poor flowers were beaten down by the rain plus water spilling from the gutter.

This is such a wonderful photo. Love how it fills the frame. Sad for the flowers though.

Yes, bowed but not broken. We enjoyed their lovely color for several more months, and even after that we kept them, waiting for a frost or snow event of the kind that Robert Bear_music captured and showed above.

Not only a great crop ratio but the perfect rotation - whether naturally occurring or selected after the capture. And an excellent title, too. So WET!!
