 Mandapam refers to an important architectural ceremonial event in the Indian culture, it is a pillared pavilion that is built for an occasion often for Hindu weddings, this one was built for a 70th birthday. It is built by the community in honor of an occasion. The four pillars represent the four stages of life in the Vedic tradition.
Brahmacharya, Grihastha, Vanaprastha and Sanyasa, it is considered sacred space.
This event will go on all day for two days, the first day is about water and the second day is about fire.
