 I was on my way early in the morning to a golf outing. I decided to take the longer more scenic route and left earlier to see the beautiful sunrise. Along the way out of the corner of my eye I saw a flock of large birds feasting on a deer carcass. At first I thought it was turkey vultures but then I realized it was several adult and juvenile eagles. I drove down the road a little bit further then turned around to come back as to not scare them away. Eagles don?t seem to mind if you drive by but if you stop they will scatter. I wished I had more time to park further away and carefully come closer to them but I didn?t have the time. I was able to catch the flock of 5 or 6 of them from the distance but an inexperienced hungry juvenile hung around long enough for me to get some pictures at closer range. What a treat for me and the eagles!
