 These are cattle egrets, an opportunistic species that travels in congregations and eats the insects turned up by cattle as they graze local pastures. It's a classic symbiotic relationship between wild and domesticated species. This particular shot was taken on a whim as I drove past a pasture where probably a hundred or more of these egrets were just hanging about by one of the larger stock ponds near my home.

Oh this is kinda funny :) There is one head missing which doesnt do anything for the picture IMHO but it´s a nice picture in a way....7
