Blue-gray Gnatcatchers. If you look closely you can see Mom has a Katydid she's about to feed to a chick. There are actually 4 babies squooshed into that nest. I don't think it will be long till they fledge.

PP - converted from RAW in Topaz Photo AI (noise reduction), opened in PS Elements, cropped, cloned out 2 spots, levels, dodged catchlights, resized, unsharp mask

Congratulations this is an amazing capture, so special. I can't imaging what it must have been like being there in the moment. Beautiful capture!

Love your word squooshed almost as much as those sweet little birds! Congrats!

Congratulations on yellow ribbon. The eye is naturally guided to the center of the action—the mother's beak touching a baby's. This is the point of connection, the heart of the photo. It's an image that speaks of care, transmission, and the cycle of life. It could illustrate a story, a nature awareness campaign, or simply be admired for its raw beauty. Good work

Congrats Mary - what a wonderful scene!
Good composition with the diagonal tree and the lovely green shades as bg.
That nest seems to be way too small for three - no four of the little ones!

That's an awesome nest! What kind of bird makes that? I hope you tell us in the photographers comments.
