Not exactly an accidental capture, but close. This was a duck flying overhead toward an island in a public park lake where these birds are known to congregate. It was a cloudy, rainy day, and I was panning the bird as it flew over some tree branches and happened to catch it JUST before it emerged into open sky again. I must have gotten six dozen entirely useless shots before happening to grab this capture. And many more dozen useless ones afterward. But the one made it worth the trip. This isn't a technique I've got much practice with, so I'm pleased with it.

Well done - I'm relieved that you struggled with motion panning too.
Your shot has a dreamlike ambiance - really cool!
Have you thought about cropping a little bit? Might be interesting

In my opinion the bird occupies a perfect place. The sky became almost negative space and the elan of the bird is winning the shot

I really like this image, I wish the bird was not so centered. I also can see a reason in the background as to why it is.
