 Took a trip up to the summit of Mount Washington. This train went up first and we followed.

Mount Washington is a mountain in the state of New Hampshire. It is the highest peak in the Northeastern United States at 6,288.2 ft (1,916.6 m) and the most topographically prominent mountain east of the Mississippi River.

The mountain is notorious for its erratic weather. On the afternoon of April 12, 1934, the Mount Washington Observatory recorded a windspeed of 231 miles per hour (372 km/h) at the summit, the world record from 1934 until 1996. Mount Washington still holds the record for highest measured wind speed not associated with a tornado or tropical cyclone.

Congratulations, I knew this would do very well. This is a really nice image, 10 form me. I love the old wooden tracks and the train at the end, it is the cherry on the cake.

did a climb in my teens; it rained, we were soaked when we reached the top, it was one of the best days of my life.

This one was one of my top picks for this challenge. The perspective here really does elevate (no pun intended) the sense of natural drama around the train. Congrats on the top-five finish!
