I'm really pleased that my picture is so well received!

The voting is still running but my photo is currently still slightly above 7 - so there is a chance to end up around 6.5 - that would be great of course.

But above all, 4 wonderful comments, that's the icing on the cake!



And I'm happy to tell you how I edited the picture:

This is the original:



I took it in a museum/shopping arcade from the 1st floor

I duplicated the original about 4 times, and layered the layers on top of each other. Some layers were distorted (mainly vertically), some desaturated and I also applied different opacities to all.

a ghostly convergence into the center. this looks like the consolidation of hundreds of works of art, all overlaid, much of it being lost in the process, like history is lost to archaeologists.
