 From what I can tell, this is called a white-tailed bee fly. These guys are really tiny but fascinating to watch. They behave in ways that resemble mosquitoes--sometimes hovering like hummingbirds, occasionally perching delicately atop a flower bud. Got lucky that this one let me get close enough to grab a decent macro before flying off again. Thought the bokeh effect with those tiny legs would make it a suitable entry for this challenge.
