I really do drive 3 1/2 hours to get to work (1.5 on the way in, 2 on the way home). That's on average. I usually go in quite early. Now that it's approaching summertime I get to see some sunrises on the way to work. Often, it drives me crazy. I want to pull over, but I also need to get to work. Plus, half the time, there's not a good place to pull off the road (many backroads, like the one in this picture).

So ... yes, sometimes I grab photos while driving. :-)
Am I usually thinking about photos? Yes.

On this particular morning, we'd had a bunch of rain the night before and it was foggy as heck in many places. The sun coming up, with the fog, was OMG, driving me nuts! This photo doesn't do it justice. It was awesome.

Congrats, stunning imagery! You must live in a very beautiful place.
I understand the driving my drive to work each way was 1.5 to 2 hours each way. It never bothered me except when I was in a rush. Much more beautiful than my drive to Manhattan always in traffic.LOL

Barry, your story about the commute resonated with me... I did almost the exact same thing for 4 years, from late 2001 to late 2005. Nearly kilt me, LOL.

I thought this quite splendid. Don't worry about doing the phenomenon justice: we mortals live by snatches and glimpses, and this one is most catching.
