Tripod, 18-55mm kit lens at 55m, Tv Mode, Partial Metering mode. Tracing Table on its side (softbox-ish) for lighting.

Printed out (backwards) Dogz ribbon winning "Hard Drive" entry in the parts challenge and taped it to the wall.

I had the light a little close so the hub of this hard disk got blown out quite a bit, started playing with levels and curves, adjusted the high end luminosity all the way down and this is how it turned out. I think the over sharpened look was a result of this adjustment. I really liked the way the reflection of Dogz pic turn on here.

Yah it looks a little over sharpened and blown out but I still like the feel.

Interesting effect. When I first tried this, the thing I found when lighting reflective objects is that you can't light them directly. The key is to light whatever will be reflected in them. Nice job!
