Thanks for the comments everyone, and the top 20 finish. This is a shot I've been waiting to do for quite a while - and then finally the "Wind" challenge blew (pun intended) into town! To answer a few of the questions that had been posted --
1) This is my dog Chazz, a buff male Cocker Spaniel ... age approximately 6 years old (he is adopted and exact birth records are unknown).
2) No, I wasn't driving. Much thanks to my girlfriend for driving so that I could hang my body out the window to get this shot.
3) The sky. Yes, this was my biggest disappointment in this shot. It had been raining for days prior to this shot, and I finally got one say with mostly cloudy skies but no rain. I was hoping to get a good expression *and* a touch of blue sky in the background - but it just wasn't meant to be. Of course, after the challenge window ended, nothing but blue skies.....
Great picture. Love that this is something you see almost every day but no one ever photographs it - and never from this angle. Excellent composition. Really well done. 10
yes I can relate to this, this is a well captured image with not onlly the windy feel but also the feeling of total enjoyment of mutly Is he/she a king charles, we have one of them.
