So I didn’t start this early enough. I only had two days. The first day was moving the logs and getting them used to it. The second day was putting out the fruit. There were nuts on it, too, but those fell down. I was hoping for a little more interaction to have a better story, but I did like his face. It looked amazed and excited to me.
By the way — he liked the grapes and the nuts, and completely ignored the blueberries. The blueberries were gone by the next day, so I’m assuming a bird found them interesting. However, nothing liked the cherry tomatoes. They moved around a bit. One was carried up on to the deck railing and left there. But nothing ate them.
I remember planting cherry tomatoes a number of years ago. The squirrels would pick one, take a bite, and leave it. Then they’d try another one (in case that one was better), take a bite and leave it. They ruined all my cherry tomatoes before I had a chance to try them, and still didn’t like them!
So, it’s not as good of an arrangement as I would liked. There’s not enough interaction to make a good story. If the nuts were more prominent, I think the story would have tied together better.
I just wanted to do something a little different.
