 Doing some fishing and this loon swam by at a nice, leisurely pace. The morning light played well with a warm golden glow. Such a beautiful creature to watch, but even MORE awesome is to listen to them "talk" to each other. Gives me shivers every time.

Gorgeous! We̢۪re at a lake in Vermont right now, where we̢۪ve loved seeing many loons.

Yesterday, we watched two parents teaching their young to take off. They would shoot along the water, never quite able to break free and fly.
