I just bought this black velvet after reading the thread about black velvet being the best backdrop. And I wanted to use it. So this is a picture of the black velvet behind a lit candle and my roommate's lips blowing on it. The velvet looks great!!

Cropped, made slightly less saturated, resized. The only light is from the candle fire.

Eh, I don't expect a good score or anything. And I have a feelling this won't be the only photo of it's kind for this challege.

Thank you to Lisa for the candle . . . and the wind.

Would have liked to see either less or more of the face (vertically). Either the lips fill the entire height of the pic or include some of the nose and chin.

Lots of candle flames in this challenge, but I feel this is one of the better ones. IMHO maybe a bit burnt (no puin intended) at the flame but a very good shot none the less... Well done.
