An attempt to capture something other than broken glass, eggs etc. I tried all of the above, and ended up too sterile. I am not extremely happy with this one, either, but at least I hope that it will stand out from the crowd, at least as an idea.

I think the photo needs more contrast. The colors seem washed out, and its a bit grainy. I might have tried moving the ring to a corner of the table and shooting from a different angle so there wasn't so much table and chair.

powerful subject and topic, good composition.. but the color cast and grain seem to detract slightly.

Don't pick it up! It's Sauron's ring! It will destroy you!

An interesting take on the challenge subject. I think it might benefit from a little more work tuning the colors.

Nice composition. The chair may not need to be there, kind of breaks up the lline from the ring to the gent leaving. The gent leaving.. he is VEWRY grainy/noisy. Has a low-quality feel to it for me.

This is a great idea for this challenge, but I think this shot required a bit more lighting.

removing the chair would have helped -- it makes it very busy in the area where the ring is and pulls your focus away from the subject.

Ooh, good idea, I tried to figure out how to do something like this and mine didn't work. Nice job.
