This was not Moriarty's fault. He was framed!

I built the gingerbread sleigh and reindeer and put it up on the mantle. And then early in the morning I heard something fall. One of the reindeer fell over, and tumbled off the mantle piece, pulling two other reindeer over on their sides. It was still a week before my kids came down for Christmas, so I figured I could make three more reindeer. Then in the afternoon I heard another crash and yet another reindeer tried to learn how to fly. By the way, reindeer cannot fly. My dog, however, was very excited about reindeer falling from the sky.

I kept the evidence of the North Pole massacre, not having the heart to throw it away. So when it came time for aftermath it did seem like the perfect opportunity. However it was rather boring by itself. So I framed Moriarty. After all, that's obviously what happened in the Sherlock Holmes books.

Moriarty was innocent.

Whaoo! I love it, it is exactly the type of things that a cat can do, and say "it's not me"

This is so hilarious!
I hope you don't get downvotes for not using "aftermath" as a title
