After climbing over a fair few boulders to get to this vantage point I was able to snap various attempts at this photo before settling on this one for the contest.
I believe I had to take this handheld in the end at 1/4, just about on the cusp of my ability to steady the camera there (Thanks IS!) as I preferred the results to those on the tripod. Some global tweaking in Lightroom and a 5x4 crop from the original portrait shot.
My first submission (of two) in fifteen years! Glad to be back :)
