 Only light is from an e-reader placed within the paper book.

Initial adjustment in lightroom : exposure, black point, sharpening and noise reduction.
Further adjustment with Silver Efex Pro 2, choosing the Antique Plate 1 preset with a 19 sepia coloring i.o 20.

Thanks, not really studying anymore, long time ago, now just pretending ;-) Still have an interest in a lot of subjects though, especially science.

Actually in the afternoon, but in a darkened room. Main light source is an e-reader. Some daylight came in and the image was a bit brighter than shown. The antique plate effect added a vignette effect.

Fine study of concentration. Black and white works very well, capturing the late hour (guessing this isn't before dawn).
