This is shot in Yosemite from the valley floor at the Moon with the top of the cliff walls in the foreground. Shot with my 400mm 5.6 Canon lens with a 2x extender. I really loved that setup, since it was tack sharp.

One of my highest ratings. Rather spoilt with this combination of landmark features, Tree, Mountain and Moon and one then wishes for a bit more light in the FG.. But you cant get everything always in life. What makes this shot work for me is the detail in the FG..together with the detail/sharp Moon.. Hows that for compression of Features! Lovely shot and though Ive never done the maths on focus distance, nor even been able to get this kind of shot pulled off, am surprised as well as excited to see that this is possible to this extent. Wondering about the focal length as well as cropping that was possibly done in this shot. Lot's of blabbering only to say I like this
