COMPOSITION
Though the hands frame the face well, the overall composition seems a bit static. Perhaps if some of the mouth were covered, or if it were turned at just a bit of an angle, it would give it more dynamics.

TECHNIQUE
The focus and lighting is good, though some parts of the hand do seem a bit bright. I am not sure if this is a lighting issue, or tension from squeezing this little guy! I think it might have been interesting if the skin tones could have been desaturated, even a little.

OVERALL EFFECT
You ahve met the challenge well, adn I like the use of humor.

I like the texture of the skin.

Nice tight shot, the skin tones are a tad overexposed though.

Very funny creative take ! I like the basic composition. Although it would have been even more extreme I would have covered one black eye totally with the curled pinky. So that the viewer's attention doesn't bounce back and forth between two black spots. A minor suggestion only. I very much like the smile curve being repeated by the thumb and finger . Although this may not have been practical in your situation I would have opted for stronger harsh side lighting to bring a darker more oppressive mood to the image. The advantage of flash is getting color when you need it. But the highlights and glare have a tendency to flatten objects by eliminating texture with front lighting. Close up photography is challenging always. Thank you for the humourous light hearted entry.

like the gimmick, original idea with a little humor.
