 3 flashlights set on a wood base attached to the ceiling by a string. The camera was set at bulb timer for 1 1/2 minutes. The camera was placed on the floor on a plastic tray aimed upward. The wood base was set in a circular motion and the camera shutter was released. After 25 seconds a black cover was placed over the lens and the plastic tray was moved to the left side. The wood base was then reactivated in a circular motion and the lens cover removed for an additional 25 seconds. The lens cover was replaced and the plastic tray and camera was moved to the center location. The lights were reactivated again and the lens cap removed for the final 25 seconds. Many trials to get the most satisfactory result. I also used this technique and another in the Extended Study challenge. I got so many interesting results I wanted to take the opportunity to display my favorites. Since both challenges ran on the same days for voting I figured it would be interesting to see how things went in comparison of the 2 entries.

wow - what an awful lot of work!
Honestly - this was my top pick and I would have seen it on the front page ... way underrated. I think this was what the challenge was about imho. If I hadn't got the neon body paint I would have done some lightpainting too.
