Challenge: Spring III (ARCHIVAL) (Standard Editing*)
Collection: Portfolio
Camera: Nikon D500
Location: Salisbury Plain
Date: May 26, 2020
Aperture: f/7.1
ISO: 1600
Shutter: 1/5000
Date Uploaded: May 26, 2020

Taken on a Spring walk on the edge of Salisbury Plain. Lying on my back, leaning on my daypack with second camera digging in. Flies came and went but I didn't catch any, or so I thought until this little fella (Fella-ess) cropped up when I downloaded my images. Played a little with the red and yellow hues, and some Nik Efex lightening of the centre.

It made up for the fact I'd gone out hunting for damselflies and the only one I found darted into the fields; I swear it was camera-shy!

DSC 9008. Nikon 105mm macro - must add to list!

I might have gone with a 4x5 ratio instead of 4x6 on this. Nonetheless, it's a wonderful capture. I bet this would look great in a larger presentation!

Gorgeous light and composition and that bug is tack sharp (and I'm guessing rather small). So very well done.
